Gallery Portraiture Thread Painting Workshop
This class is a must for every surface quilter that wants to let their inner artist run free.
Jamie will teach you to breathe life into your images of people, animals and landscapes learn the art of realistic Thread Painting.
The class will start with creating the base for your project, whether its inking or photography, and all the steps including the thread painting to create your one of a kind masterpiece!

This is a must class for anyone just starting out in surface quilting, thinking about getting into surface quilting or just needs to brush up on the basics. In this class Jamie will share his 20 plus years of experience in the quilting world to help you succeed wether you are quilting for yourself or for business. From swirls to feathers to florals and grid work you will finish this class with the knowledge and confidence to be that quilter you want to be. This is a hands on class that will include lecture, drawing and machine use.

Whole Clothes are the ultimate way Surface Quilters can express their artistry and skills. Jamie will share with you his experience in creating these one of a kind masterpieces and get you started on the way to creating your own.
Jamie will also cover his techniques for creating stencils.

This special 2 day Workshop will be a hit the ground running experience and will center around taking an image (Photo or Drawing) and the bumper to bumper process of turning it into a Top Shelf Gallery Worthy piece of Textile art. We will cover using inks to accentuate detail, how to separate and turn a photo into a pattern/roadmap, how to choose appropriate photos and much more instruction to create their own masterpiece. Students will “Begin” the process on a custom piece from a pre approved photo while the small class completes an Appliqué piece provided to learn the various Appliqué Techniques.
